Graduate Students
Dr. Krasny works closely with her graduate students, who conduct research on a variety of topics related to environmental education, civic ecology, and social-ecological system resilience.
Recent graduates include:
- Dr. Olivia Aguilar, whose PhD research focused on communities of practice among Hispanic middle school students in after-school environmental clubs and school classrooms in southeast Texas. Dr. Aguilar is now a visiting professor in Environmental Studies at Dension University.
- Mr. Alexey Kostesha, whose MS research focused on web-mediated environmental protests in Siberia. Mr. Kostesha currently works in the Environmental Protection and Compliance Division of Proctor and Gamble, with responsibilities for Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa.
- Dr. Tania Schusler, whose PhD research focused on youth-adult partnerships in environmental action programs. Dr. Schusler is now a core faculty member in Environmental Studies at Antioch University New England.

- EunJu Lee, PhD, Civic Ecology Education and Community Forestry in Korea.
- Kendra Liddicoat, PhD, Novelty, Familiarity, and Memory in Residential Outdoor Education Programs.
- Jennifer Shirk, PhD, Scientists' Practice and Beliefs in Citizen Science Programs.
- Keith Tidball, PhD, Community Forestry as a Response to Disaster in NYC and New Orleans.
