Mission

Everyday we encounter the problems and potential of human and natural communities. I believe that through integrating scientific ways of thinking, an appreciation for nature, and learning from people from all walks of life and cultures, we ourselves become stronger individuals and more able to contribute to the civic life in our communities.

I would like to work toward integrating multi-cultural understanding and science learning in green spaces, with the overall goal of building sustainable communities, stronger democracies, and greater global understanding.

To realize this goal, I provide leadership for a diverse group of students, educators, researchers, and scholars, who integrate practice and research focused on engaging young people in cultural understanding and scientific thinking in natural, agricultural, and community settings.
